Kayaking Alabama's Paint Rock River

Paddle Tales takes us on a kayak tour of river kayaking Northern Alabama.

Alabama has many great places to kayak. This can clearly be seen in the following episode of Paddle Tales. This episode takes us along on their journey down Alabama’s Paint Rock river, a free-flowing tributary of the Tennessee River.

Paint Rock river, in northern Alabama, is a perfect section of the river for novice kayakers as well as anyone looking for a nice day out on the water. It flows peacefully at a nice steady clip with very few if any rapids.

Its a very scenic journey that winds along under the canopy of over hanging trees. Their journey begins near the city of Guntersville, Alabama (Highway 72 to Butler Mill which is about 6 miles long).

Paint Rock River is located in the center of Alabama and is a beautiful river. It was formed by the Mississippi River and has been flowing for over 400 years. This river has been named the number one whitewater river in the state of Alabama. The river is very popular for kayaking, canoeing and tubing. The river is also used for fishing and camping.

There are many different ways to access the river. The most popular way is to take the boat ramp at the end of Highway 231. There are several different ways to get to the river. You can take a shuttle bus from Dothan to the river or you can take a taxi. You can also rent a car and drive to the river. There is a small fee to enter the park. If you want to fish, you have to pay an additional fee.

When you go to the river, there are several different places to camp. You can camp at the end of the boat ramp or you can camp anywhere along the river. If you are camping at the end of the boat launch, you need to bring your own tent and other camping equipment. The park does not have any camping facilities.

There are several different places to eat while you are at the river. The most popular place to eat is the Riverside Inn. They serve food all day long. You can get breakfast, lunch and dinner there. The restaurant has a nice deck overlooking the river.

If you are looking for a fun family outing, this is a great place to go.
