Buffalo River Kayaking and Camping

Kayaking the Buffalo National River is an awesome experience.

The Buffalo National River, located in Arkansas and Oklahoma, is one of America’s most beautiful rivers. It has a unique history and rich cultural heritage. It was designated as the nation’s first National River in 1936 by President Franklin D. Roosevelt. In 1970, it became part of the National Park system.

The river flows from the Ozark Mountains through the Ouachita Mountains and then into the Mississippi River. It is one of the most scenic rivers in the United States. It is a favorite destination for camping, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, and fishing. There are many campgrounds along the river.

There are several different camping areas along the river. Each of these areas has a variety of sites to choose from. Some of the sites are close to the water while others are away from the river. You will find a place that is just right for you.

The campsites are located in the Ozark Mountains. This means that they are at an elevation of about 7,000 feet. The elevation provides a cool breeze during the summer months. If you are camping during the summer months, be sure to pack your mosquito repellent. These insects love the high elevations and are very hard to get rid of once they get in your tent.

One of the most popular places to camp is called the “Buffalo Bend”. This is a site that is very close to the river and is also close to the main road. This makes it easy to get to and from the campground. It is also a popular spot because of the fishing opportunities.

The campground is also home to a number of different attractions. There are two hiking trails that are perfect for beginners. These trails are both paved and take you through a beautiful forest. One trail is only 1.5 miles long while the other is 3.2 miles long. There is also a nature center where you can learn more about the wildlife that lives in the area.

If you want to enjoy the outdoors, then you should definitely consider a trip to the Buffalo National River. There are many different things to do in this area. You can fish, hike, swim, boat, raft and much more. The best part is that you can do all of this without leaving the campground. If you enjoy camping, then this is a great place to go.
